Abstract
This study investigates the relationship between the adoption of Circular Economy principles and the enhancementof organizational sustainability in Jordan’s private sector, employing a quantitative methodology to test thehypothesis that there is a statistically significant positive relationship at the level of α=0.05. The research methodology includes a comprehensive sample of 449 organizations, utilizing both online and paper-basedquestionnaires distributed between January 2023 and January 2024. These questionnaires, developed with inputfrom the European Foundation for Quality Management, were designed to capture data relevant to CircularEconomy practices and their impact on sustainability. The data collection merged primary data from structuredquestionnaires with secondary sources including scientific literature and reports, ensuring a broad and credibleunderstanding of the sustainability landscape. Data analysis was conducted using the Statistical Package for SocialSciences (SPSS), focusing on correlation coefficients to establish construct validity and using Cronbach’s alpha toverify the reliability of the questionnaire. The results indicated a strong correlation between the integration ofCircular Economy principles and increased sustainability within organizations, demonstrating that companies thatalign more closely with these principles tend to exhibit higher sustainability performance. The findings highlight thecritical role of Circular Economy strategies in enhancing sustainability outcomes, suggesting that such approachesare not only environmentally beneficial but also offer a pathway to improved organizational performance. Thisresearch contributes to the discourse on sustainable development by providing empirical evidence supporting theeffectiveness of Circular Economy principles in promoting sustainability within the private sector. It offers valuableinsights for policymakers, industry leaders, and sustainability advocates seeking to foster a more sustainable future in the Middle East and beyond.
